Your stored fuel can deteriorate in a number ways. Water is the most common, usually from condensation. Water also encourages micro-bacterial growth which can build up in the fuel and this ‘biomass’ will lead to a sludge forming. And the fuel itself will tend to deteriorate over time and form a fine sediment. All these contaminants will clog up filters, reduce the fuels performance and lead to expensive damage or loss of power just when you need it most.

We visit you
DFC use a specially-designed machine to condition and re-optimise all the fuel in your tank. Our engineer visits you and using two feeder hoses he extracts the fuel from the bottom of the tank, ‘polishes’ it through one of our machines, and returns it to the top of the tank.
This service is quick and simple. All we need is clear access to your tank and a 220v power point to operate our machine.
How does it work?
Our machine has a number of elements including pumps, mechanical filters and a special centrifuge to separate the fuel from the contaminants at a molecular level.
It operates at a high speed and is self-contained within a housing. Having been cleaned and conditioned, the fuel is returned to the top of the tank. We usually put in a special additive that will help to prevent bacterial build-up - see the ‘Consumables’ page. |

The First Polishing Visit
The first visit to polish the previously untreated fuel usually takes longer than subsequent visits but the cost can be amortised over a 1, 2 or even 3-year programme if it suits your company’s planned maintenance procedures.
